Patriot Week begins on 9/11 and ends on 9/17 (the anniversary of the signing of the Constitution (Constitution Day)) and renews America’s spirit by celebrating the First Principles, Founding Fathers and other Patriots, vital documents and speeches, and flags that make America the greatest nation in world history. Many of current holidays have become overly commercialized or have lost their deeper meaning. We need to invigorate our appreciation and understanding of America’s spirit. Absolute Power - Why Not Let the Federal Government Do Whatever it Wants? Save Our Republic! #29 The power to do good is the power to do evil. Giving the federal government unchecked power would result in tremendous legislation - which could be 100% what you favor or 100% what you oppose. By limiting the federal government's constitutional authority to issues of nation concern, freedom and policy is better served. Mistakes on the federal level - in a one-size-fits-all approach - causes widespread problems, while mistakes at the State and local level are limited. Restraining the federal government is vital to protecting our First Principles of the rule of law, unalienable rights, limited government, the Social Compact, equality, and the right to alter or abolish oppressive government.
